Developed by Economist Impact, this report examines Sweden’s journey towards cervical cancer elimination and identifies key lessons for countries seeking to accelerate progress. Drawing on Sweden’s experience with HPV vaccination, organised screening, data systems, and health system integration, the report highlights effective strategies, enabling factors, and policy considerations that can support cervical cancer elimination efforts worldwide. It also examines the extent to which countries are meeting, and in some instances exceeding, the World Health Organization’s (WHO) 90-70-90 goals for cervical cancer elimination within this century.
